An Original FigoPayment Story Series
I was bored and chilling under the shadow of a leafy tree at Godiva Restaurant where I work as a security guard, then he came dressed in a suit and everything changed. A few minutes before that, a Nissan Rogue had pulled up and a very beautiful lady had alighted and walked into the restaurant. She said a quick hello to me, even as she kept on chatting excitedly on her phone. Back to the guy in the suit. I heard him make a call sayíng that the hot sun was not for him and how he felt faint. I couldn’t help but chuckle to myself. He later sauntered in and I noticed he met with the lady who greeted me earlier. After what seemed like forever, I heard a soft thud. Quickly I rushed towards the source of the sound and then I saw “my suit guy” standing up while dusting his cloth, I looked up and I saw the toilet window had been opened beyond normal. He rushed off towards the gate and as a sharp guy on duty, I ran after him. When I got to him, he was on a video call with people I assume are his friends. He was asking them for money and I wondered how this guy would go out to eat, on a date for that matter, and not have enough money on him. His friends seemed to only notice his dressing and not his concern, and so he had to shout while glancing furtively at me. Eventually, they mentioned something about splitting the bills with him on Figo and ended the call with a promise of full gist from him as he wiped the sweat from his brow. I’m guessing Figo is an app he can use to collect money quickly from his friends. Immediately he turned to face me, scratched his head, and then politely asked if there was a back door he could go through to get back in. I shook my head, saying it was for members of staff only, but he didn’t wait for me to finish as his phone chimed and he smiled, then jogged back to the restaurant. “Truly a friend in need is a friend indeed, and no one needs friends more than a person with sapa as his best friend.”, I thought as I wondered how the young man would explain getting outside the building from the restroom. But then, the truth remained that it was not my business and I was only the security guard.
